Does Traffic Affect Google Ranking?

We all think that traffic affects Google’s ranking. Traffic is a very critical part of the website though it never affects the ranking of your website. Many people have the misconception that traffic is the factor for Google ranking.

There are various factors that affect Google ranking like backlinks, content, keywords, bounce rate, mobile optimization, SEO practices, search intent, keyword proximity, keyword in meta title, keyword meta description, etc.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) helps you in ranking your website. It increases the visibility of your website and helps in bringing organic traffic to it. To increase traffic and to rank it on the first page of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) you should properly optimize your content. It is said, “Slow And Steady Wins The Race”. You will be able to do it but it will take some time.

Google Ranking Factors

There are some ranking factors of Google through which it decides the ranking of websites. Some of them are discussed as follows:

  • Website Visits: More website visits means more popularity of it. Social media platforms, ad campaigns, email marketing help a lot in increasing website visits.
  • Behaviour Of Users: Users’ behaviour also helps in website ranking. This includes bounce rate, time spent on the website, per page time, etc.

The lower the bounce rate, the higher is the ranking of your website.

The higher time spent on the website and on pages, the higher is the ranking.

  • Backlinks: Backlinks are the links of a website provided on another website. Multiple backlinks also help in better ranking. You just need to make sure that the content on your website and on another one should be related to each other. If they are not, then the bounce rate will be high which in turn will lower the website ranking.

  • Image Optimization: You should optimize your images also. Give a small description of the images you are posting on the website.

  • Keyword: You have to use keywords in your meta title, meta description, heading, in the middle of the content and at the end. You should use keywords in a proper ratio. There should be no keyword stuffing

  • High-quality content: To attract new visitors and to make sure that the old ones come again, you must produce high-quality and relevant content for your website.

  • Mobile Optimization: Make sure that your website should be optimized for mobile also.
