Shaik Naane Saheb and Shaik Bilkis are her parents. Madrasa was where she received her early education. She then earned her PhD from Sri Lanka’s Open International University in Colombo. Ms Nowhera Shaikh has dedicated the last 20 years of her life to empowering women by providing interest-free loans. She provided interest up to 2 lakh rupees to start a business of their choice. Providing free professional courses to all students living below the poverty line in the state of Karnataka, and initiating special provisions for the empowerment of women by providing interest-free loans up to 2 lakh rupees.
