Eight Tips to Help You Buy Online

Come back with me to see if you have changed or not how you bought over the years. For example, in the last five years, where did you buy the most?

I live in a town where a nearby mall with department stores and specialty shops is only 30 minutes away. So I do my best with or without the resources in the city. Simplicity is the key for me.

Several years ago without realizing it much I found myself shopping a lot online. The first was the books with Amazon.com. As Amazon expands so does my online shopping list. I suspect I’m not alone, as confirmed by the explosion of online businesses.

Now I don’t just look at Amazon for whatever I want, I Google look at my options. Why? For me, online shopping in USA saves a lot of time, expands my options, and is therefore much easier. I can read many customer and official reviews as my brain can stop learning what kind of product, what model, what price and which retailer to choose the product or service in mind.

However, I have learned that online shopping is different from regular shopping. Here are 5 tips to consider when shopping online.

  1. Be patient. For me, online shopping is somewhat different from shopping at department stores and specialty stores. I have a sense of urgency about ordering something online when I start. While, in stores, there are so many things on sale, on display, that nature itself helps to distract you from focusing on one thing. I don’t even expect to get what I want when I go to any store. Instead I expect it will take up a lot of stops or a lot of visitors.

  1. Divide your online shopping within a few days. Online marketing is getting better and smarter. What you see and read can be more convincing or more addictive than what is displayed in stores. By taking breaks, you break the “trance” that can allow doubts and questions to arise. You can remember some features or values that are important to you. When you are away from the computer, the data you collect will have time to filter in your mind. You will have time to get other people’s opinions and experiences.

  1. Online retailers should be highly competitive. What this means for the shopper is that you can get better and better prices. So once you have decided on a particular product, start comparing prices, looking at whether shipping is free and whether sales tax is included.

  1. Google for product discount codes. Have you noticed that many sites do not have any promotional or discount code? You can usually find them online and save money. For example, you type in Google search “swivel sweeper g2” and enter “discount code” or “promotion code.”

  1. Always get warranty or guarantee details for products that may have a problem or fall within the first or two months from the date of purchase. Sometimes firm companies do not guarantee but because they work honestly, you can get a refund for unsatisfactory purchases. Make a list of these companies.

  1. Make it a habit to read professional reviews and customer reviews. This work also takes time and should not be completed in one go. Expect reviewers to agree. However, you will be better informed by pro’s and con’s about the product. It’s like signing an “informed consent” form: you may not like the idea at all but at least complete a more detailed and better purchase than when you started your search.

  1. Most of the things you want to buy require physical treatment or dressing to feel how it feels. Obviously online shopping doesn’t have that possibility. So consider driving to the store early to make sure they have what you are looking for, and then check it out for yourself. After that you can decide if online shopping makes sense to you.
  2. Learn from your online shopping for women experience. Think of what ended up being a solid purchase and what never happened. Find the best way to make an online purchase a satisfying way to get what you want.

These are suggestions from my online shopping experience especially doing research to write my blogs of various products and online customer service.
