How To Make a Margarita?

You’d think, “Hey, well that’s really simple. You just jam it all up in a glass and shake it and that’s about it. And if you can’t, there’s always alcohol delivery open somewhere.” And yes, indeed, you are right about both things. It’s basically just jamming it all up in a glass and shaking it vigorously, and if you can’t do that for some reason like not having a shaker or your hands always being full of, well, something, there’s good news for you. With the looming shadows of skepticism in the post-pandemic era, we have also seen the silver lining of liquor store delivery becoming more common place almost about everywhere.

23% of the U.S. population have drunk a cocktail out of home in the last 3 months.

Packaged margaritas are a thing and while some may frown at that, we gotta live with it just like we learnt to live with pineapple on pizzas. So whether you are in a rich NY suburb or reading this out of nowhere in one of the smallest towns of Vietnam, there’s a pretty good chance that the liquor stores open near you will take those efforts and make that delivery of delicious margarita right at your doorstep.

So then the question arises, why should you learn how to make margarita? And as an extension of that, why should you read this man jabbering about random stuff about liquor stores and margaritas? Well, it’s because, every person who likes the occasional comfort of a drink in their living room all by themselves should know how to make a basic margarita. And yes, while you think it’s just jamming it all up and shaking it a lot, and while I agreed with that a while ago, the devil is usually in the detail. So watch your steps carefully. A margarita is basically a godly combination of tequila, triple sec, lime juice and all the ice you can find in Antarctica. Assuming you have already made that trip to collect the ice or have had it delivered while ordering alcohol online, we will go to the next steps. These are as follows:

  • Chill your glass with ice—this is directly proportional to how cool you want it; and since you are very cool, we’d say you would need at least a little over half of your glass filled with ice.
  • The second step is to use more ice because God has put a lot of it on Earth and it’s only wise that we use it all. Nah, but seriously, the second step would be to get a whole lot of ice, tequila, triple sec and lime juice in a shaker and shake it like your life depends on it.
  • The third step, after you have decided that your shaking is sufficient, is to run a nice lime wedge on the edge of your glass and then rub some salt over it. It is a fairly simple step but I promise it will look like you are some excellent chef doing some cool stuff; or a sous-chef at least.
  • The fourth step is to strain your godly mixture in the glass, and take a picture of it for social media. Drinking it is optional.

Jokes apart though, those four are really the only steps to making a margarita. But because the devil is in the detail, there are a few things that you are likely to miss. And we, through this article, are going to take on the noble task of helping you identify exactly those.

  1. Picking Your Tequila

You might be surprised because this isn’t as simple as picking a bottle off the shelf at the liquor store near you. Tequila is of two kinds, and while one is the pure agave tequila, the other one is made of grain spirits mixed with agave spirits. This kind of tequila will not always give the flavors that you get from blue agave tequila. So we’d suggest you to really check what you are buying and if it is not available nearby, consider the powers of the internet and order alcohol online.

  1. Don’t Use Packaged Lime Juice

While the world revolving around us has become very convenient and everything is available in the markets and while the internet acts like a genie, giving us everything we want at one single click, buying packaged lime juice is one of the things that we discourage. It really is detrimental to your godly mixture of alcohol; so take the effort to squeeze the lemon yourself. It’s more rewarding than you imagine!

  1. Small Ice Will Always Result in Less Fun

The idea that we all have as children is that big is good; and that sticks with us in some ways even when we grow up. This is one of the places where you should revisit that idea because it’s the big pieces of ice that will help your margarita retain the potent, powerful punch that you are expecting. Small pieces of ice will melt at light speed and dilute your drink, make you feel meh about your drink. So remember the rule with the ice here: the bigger, the better.

  1. Don’t Buy the Mix Even if You Have All the Money in the World

Some people have so much cash, they never really figure where to spend it all. Now whether you are this kind of person or not, we think it’s very important for you to understand that spending your money on the pre- packaged margarita mix will take you nowhere. Laced with corn starch and artificial sweetners, such mixes are marketed aggressively but they do more bad to your drink than they do any good.

And that folks, is all about margaritas. So buy your tequila from a nearby store or order liquor online—but pick only the agave spirits to make your drink. Please do not forget to follow the other steps either, because they’re all very important and if you follow them to the T, what you will basically have is magic in a glass!

  1. Unquestionably believe that that you said. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the
internet the simplest factor to consider of.
I say to you, I certainly get irked whilst other people consider concerns that they just don’t
recognize about. You managed to hit the nail upon the
top as well as defined out the whole thing with no need side effect , people could take a signal.
Will likely be again to get more. Thanks
