New Extender Setup-Ap.Setup

Switching to a new range extender, also known as a wireless repeater, signal/WiFi booster, or range expander, will improve the range of your network from low to high, giving you a fighting chance. All you need now is a smart device, such as a PC or laptop, to establish a physical communication link in order to use the New Extender Setup.

Carefully unbox and handle the New Extender. The WiFi Extender is unboxed for the first time. The new WiFi extension must be plugged into a power source. All of the LEDs available over the New extension begin to flicker, giving them time to stabilise. It lasts almost 1-2 minutes.

Once the LED light has stabilised, open a web browser and type mywifiext.net login into the URL box.

A login pop-up display will show on the desktop or screen. To use the New Extender’s setup options, simply enter your username and password and press Enter. Follow the directions on the screen to complete a successful New setup configuration.

What about security after you’ve successfully set up your device?

Flawless Ways to Perform with the New Extender Setup

1st Method:

  • Setup of WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy).
  • Log in to your WiFi New Extender by connecting it directly to an Ethernet wire via a computer or laptop.
  • Check the router documentation for the correct web URL for the admin page.
  • Open a web browser and go to AP.Setup login page. For this, type New Extender Setup login or 192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your web browser.
  • Enter your username and password.
  • Continue by entering the password or security key you prefer if you have a wireless password (security key) set up.This may be done quickly and easily from the main wireless router control panel, as well as the admin page.

Note: Depending on the model number of your New Wifi Router, the web page shown may differ.

  • Select WEP from the options menu.
  • Choose 128-bit encryption over 64-bit encryption.
  • The higher the level of encryption, the more difficult it is for fraudsters or strange outsiders to break in. Your network’s speed may be slowed if you choose 128-bit encryption.
  • Enter a passphrase that includes a mix of letters, numbers, alphabets, and special characters.
  • When you’re finished, go to Network Settings >>> to set up your main computer.

Note: You do not need to enter an encryption key, password, or passphrase every time you connect to WiFi.

Select the characteristics of your ideal wireless network. Fill out all of your private and confidential information as a follow-up. After selecting WEP from the drop-down menu, you must enter the key just once.

Repeat these instructions for any other PCs or laptops you have in your home or workplace.

Note: Before using any method, make sure your New extender’s firmware is up to current. For that visit, the IP address was changed to 192.168.10.1.

Method number two:

Setup WPA (WiFi Protected Access)

Note: For Ap.setup, you must apply the same technique as you used for setting up the security above.

  • Select WPA-PSK at the WEP site from the Administrator page.
  • Next, select the encryption level.
  • WPA is substantially more secure than WEP and far more difficult to breach. Your key will have more characters with special symbols than WEP.
