RecordCast – Easily Record Your Computer Screen Without Downloading Any Program

There is plenty of desktop and browser-based video recorders available to us today. So why do you need another one? What if, instead of a computer screen recorder, you also had a browser-based video editor? And what if I told you that it’s easy to add images and audio to it and write text on that video? Most people would say, “This is WeVideo or Screencastify.” But these solutions come at a price. We’ll find a new, free screen recording and video editing tool.

RecordCast is a new and free online screen recorder that can help users record a screen video and edit their screenshots.

RecordCast brings Screencastify and Loom Pro functionality. No browser add-ons or downloads are required.

Where RecordCast works its magic without a special browser add-on or extension. This feature and its “free” label make it a great tool, but that is not all.

RecordCast has enough time limit of thirty minutes for recordings. If you want a longer time, merge several videos into a new one with its built-in video editor for up to 1 hour.

This makes it an ideal tool for digital recordings of the educational screen. It combines ease of use and two essential factors:

  1. A straightforward timeline tool that allows you to add audio tracks and overlay text.
  2. You can also record your screen or your screen as well as your webcam or just your webcam.

Start recording

To use the tool, go to its website and press “Record Free Now”. Know that to use its video editor. You will need to make an account and verify your email. Then start using the tool.

While you’re setting up your recording, you’ll need to decide if you want to enable system audio. You will also choose your microphone. RecordCast provides a wizard that guides you through audio sharing.

This screen is the same as when you start to zoom in. This means that it will be easy to get started with RecordCast. It looks very familiar.

Download video

Once you record a video, you can save it to your device as a WEBM video file. This video format is compatible with YouTube, and it is easy to convert to MP4.

The downloaded or saved video appears in WEBM format on your device. At this point, you can upload it (put) it to YouTube or a similar video sharing space. To get an MP4 video file from RecordCast, you will need to edit and export it as MP4.

Edit video in RecordCast

RecordCast Video Editor is where RecordCast really shines. It offers a powerful video editor. It is very easy to edit videos, split parts to delete unwanted parts. Moreover, you can add an audio track.

Image import is one of the additional features that make the video editor you can import images and put them on their own path in a very easy way.

Export video in MP4 format

Once your video editing is complete, you can export the video. RecordCast offers three options: 480p, 720p and 1080p.

One of the challenges of any browser-based video editor is the amount of time it takes to view the video. Although I haven’t done any speed tests, RecordCast seems to take as much time as other video editors to render videos. It took about six minutes to view a two-minute and nine-second video.
